For Shopify agencies / Existing catalogue updates
Supplier CSVs, prepared for your Shopify team.
A supplier update is due, but the file needs sorting.
I map the columns, check product codes and return
the changes and open decisions for your team to review.
Supplier columns need mapping.
Product codes need checking.
Your team needs a clear exceptions list.

Hello, my name is Aaron.
This is a fictional supplier catalogue showing how I prepare product files for a Shopify team.
It has 40 variants, including deliberate errors.
There are three separate records.
Spaces are removed around this product code, keeping its leading zeros.
An agreed rule maps sage green to Sage.
Another changes the decimal comma in this price.
This code occurs twice.
I hold the affected products for review rather than guessing which record is right.
The report shows the source rows and why they need a decision.
This prepared record keeps its code intact.
Your team reviews and tests the output before importing.
The current scope is existing products.
A scoped pilot is €250 after sample review.
This sample is checked locally.
Not imported in Shopify.
If you have a suitable file task,
send me a description for a free 15-minute check.
Small inconsistencies.
Real decisions.
A supplier's “sage green” can map to “Sage”. A duplicated product code needs a person to check it. The handover separates the two.

Held for review. No automatic merge.
Three separate sample records, source rows 14–16. Rules are agreed before processing.

This sample has deliberate errors. The results come from the preparation tool, checked against known expected outcomes.

A defined file task.
Off your team’s
to-do list.
For agencies with a current supplier-file or existing-catalogue update to prepare. You keep the client relationship, review the files and control the store import.
What I can take on
Column mapping, identifier checks, agreed formatting changes, exact-match comparisons and repeatable cleanup.
What comes back
A prepared review file, a list of unresolved records, a change log and handover notes.
How we start
Start with a description. The free fit check establishes whether the task is supported and what is missing. If it fits, we review an authorised sample and agree the rules, fee and date.
What stays with you
Business decisions, approval of the output, backups, testing against your store and the live import.
The current demo supports CSV files and existing products with one colour option. Excel inputs and other product structures need a feasibility review before quoting.
The first engagement
Start with one
well-defined file.
Start with a free 15-minute assessment of the task description or an authorised sample. I’ll confirm fit, missing inputs and the next step. Detailed mapping and file preparation are paid work.
- 01One source layout and one output format
- 02Up to 300 variant rows and ten agreed rules
- 03Prepared file, exceptions, change log and notes
- 04One revision within the agreed scope

Scope, availability and applicable tax treatment confirmed in the quote. Live imports, stock synchronisation and additional software are outside this pilot.
Before we start
A small first step.
Clear responsibilities.
Do I need to send a client file now?
No. Describe the input, approximate size and required changes first. If the task looks suitable, we can agree how to share a small authorised sample with confidential details removed.
We already have an import tool. Can this still help?
The service is for preparing the source file your team needs to review. Tell me which output you need; I’ll check the scope before quoting. Compatibility with your import workflow must be tested separately.
Will you need access to the store?
The current pilot is file preparation. Your team reviews the output, resolves business decisions, tests it against the store and handles the live import. No store access is needed for the fit check.
Work with me
Check the fit
before you book.
I’m Aaron Murphy, a third-year computer science student. I handle the file preparation myself using documented rules and a local workbench that records originals, changes and review notes.
Tell me what is arriving from the supplier, what needs changing and when your team needs it. The free fit check is limited to 15 minutes; it does not commit you to a project.
ampirl06@gmail.comA description is enough to start. Please leave confidential files and store access details out of the first message.
